We are in search of a Full-Time ADP Workforce Now Payroll/HR Specialist in our San Diego office.
General Description:
The Payroll Specialist will work as part of our client's accounting and human resources departments to ensure payroll is processed on time and that the appropriate deductions are made. The Payroll/HR Specialist will serve in an administrative role to calculate and send out paychecks for employees with different employment classifications.
Responsibilities include
• Balancing the payroll budget
• Documenting all transactions related to an employee’s wages, including any payments or credits for bonuses and hourly pay
• Recording how much each employee earns and making updates when they receive raises.
• Producing payroll reports for management and confirming approvals for overtime or paid time off.
• Communicating with other employees about any discrepancies in their pay.
• Use multiple systems and payroll software features to pay all employees
• Will also have cross-functional duties as it relates to Human resources such as keeping track of leaves, Workers' Compensation, and other HR Assistant duties as needed
Skills Needed:

• Knowledge of different types of payroll software, especially ADP Workforce Now, and HRIS systems
• Knowledge of payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution
• Multitasking abilities
• Good research and analysis skills

• Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves
• Assist in policy formulation, hiring, and salary administration
• Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates, and schedule job interviews
• Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
• Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
• Checking timesheets for accuracy
• Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
• Handling direct deposit requests and data
• Processing paper checks for distribution
• Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
• Processing wage garnishments
• Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and Paid time off
