Job Title: Associate Director of Human Resources

Position Overview
This position will play a key role in supporting the HR Director in overseeing the development and execution of HR strategies that foster a positive workplace culture, promote employee engagement, and align HR initiatives with the goals of the organization. The Assistant HR Director will collaborate with leadership to implement best practices in talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that support organization objectives and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and leadership to HR team members, helping to develop their skills and performance.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain team members.
- Support leadership in managing employee performance, including appraisals, feedback, and career development.
- Work with managers to ensure effective communication and conflict resolution practices across all departments.
- Assist in the management of compensation and benefits programs.
- Help administer employee development and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Keep the organization informed of HR-related legal updates and advise on necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Assist in audits and investigations related to HR issues, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Help streamline HR operations and improve processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and management of HR policies, procedures, and systems.
- Use HR software and tools to manage employee data, track HR metrics, and report on key performance indicators.Support the development and delivery of employee training programs that enhance skills, compliance, and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Experience: 2 years of HR or organizational development and leadership experience.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
