Job Summary
New Meadows Marina is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office, have experience managing daily office operations, and be comfortable providing support in various accounting functions and store operations. Our marina is a fast paced and dynamic environment with a team that feels like family. A positive, team oriented attitude is essential! This job involves working with the technicians to complete detailed invoices for our customers, managing our payables, assisting our customers and maintaining general office duties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth functioning of administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide customer support in our marine store and with accounts receivable activities.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline invoicing processes and improve efficiency within the office.
- Provide administrative support, including answering the phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in a book keeping role or similar position is required.
- Strong understanding of A/R and A/P accounting practices and principles is essential.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing and account reconciliation is important.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for communications with customers and collaboration within the team.
- Proven experience providing kind and helpful assistance to customers and coworkers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.75 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
