A global bank is seeking a Operational Resilience Specialist to join the Business Continuity Management Team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of operational resilience documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Support the team in conducting regular reviews and updates of business continuity plans and incident response strategies.
- Collaborate with the Business Owners, Information Technology, BCM and Third Party to create scenarios that to provide instructions on delivering an Important Business Service during a crisis. Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to operational resilience.
- Support the business areas in documenting Important Business Services, associate end-to-end processes, and the underlying people, technology and vendor assets.
- Develop and implement key program components across required Operational Resilience workstreams, including but not limited to Governance, Scenario Development, Testing, and Crisis Management.
- Help coordinate and participate in training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of operational resilience practices.
- Analyze data and prepare reports on operational resilience metrics and performance indicators.
- Participate in the testing and validation of business continuity plans and recovery strategies.
- Provide administrative support for team meetings, including scheduling, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in operational resilience and risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in banking, finance, or a related operational role preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of core competencies across the 4 Pillars of Operational Resilience (1.)Business Resilience, (2.) Technology Resilience, (3.) Third Party Resilience, and (4.)Cyber Resilience
- Familiarity with operational risk and enterprise risk management best-practices and controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, business continuity planning, and risk management principles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational resilience and risk management is advantageous.
