What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk/Welcome Center Associate position at New Richmond Area Centre?
Job summary:
Every staff member with the New Richmond Area Centre is responsible for ensuring that every member visit to the Centre is an Amazing one.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service Activities: Provide courteous, prompt and sincere attention to all Centre members and guests.
§ Communicate and treat other staff members with courtesy and respect.
§ Maintain a positive and helpful attitude with all members and participants.
§ Be on time and in place for your scheduled work shift.
§ Respond to all member concerns and communicate feedback in a timely, professional manner.
§ Actively promote membership to the Centre.
§ Represent the Centre and maintain positive relationship with members, participants, and the community at large.
§ Bring ideas, suggestions, and concerns to your supervisor or Executive Director.
Program Activities and Safety: Provide leadership and supervision to related programs by ensuring each member is safe while participating at the Centre.
§ Ensure safety, quality, and consistency of the programs and services within the Centre.
§ Promote commitment to the goals and philosophy of the Centre by remaining current and cutting edge with programming, equipment, and certifications as required by your program area.
§ Maintain program areas and equipment in a clean, safe, functional manner to meet all relevant standards. Contact supervisor or Executive Director with facility concerns immediately.
§ Help develop and participate in special events as needed.
§ Actively promote programs and services to increase membership participation.
Program Specific Activities:
§ Become proficient in working with Max Galaxy and using it to provide Amazing customer service to our members and guests.
§ Maintain a neat and organized work area.
§ Attend all Welcome Center staff meetings and trainings.
§ Be the face of the Centre, standing, smiling and greeting members and guests by name when they arrive and when they are leaving.
§ Complete all paper work accurately and keep files in order.
§ Keep the front lobby and coffee bar clean and welcoming for our members and guests.
§ Complete birthday party paperwork completely and enter into spreadsheet correctly.
§ At the beginning of each of your shifts read the Welcome Center FYI book so you are informed of any changes in programs or happenings at the Centre
§ Count your cash drawer and petty cash every shift and make sure to balance.
§ Additional responsibilities as required by your supervisor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.75 per hour
