M-F -9a-5:30p

JOB SUMMARY:

Duties:

• Reviewing vendor evidence of insurance
• Performing vendor background searches
• Performing general research
• Supporting the Unit's team with Internal and external follow-up, as needed
• Supporting the Unit's team with electronic document management of records
• Scheduling meetings
• Effectively managing communication, both orally and in writing, with agency staff, vendors, and other outside parties
• Assisting with matters relating to minority and women-owned business enterprises and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience reviewing certificates of insurance
• Excellent Organizational and Communication (oral and written) skills are a MUST
• Excellent word processing using Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheet, Outlook and other computer skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately and to exercise care in safeguarding proprietary information
• Experience reviewing vendor responsibility documentation (background searches), preferred
• Ability to learn, understand and follow the Agencies' policies and procedures
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and outside parties
• Ability to show initiative and willingness to take on new tasks as directed
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Good attendance and punctuality

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred as well as relevant academic training or transferrable skills.
• Minimum of three years of related experience preferred, with emphasis in Insurance and background checks

Successful candidate must demonstrate ability to pay close attention to detail, have excellent oral and written communication skills together with excellent Word and Excel skills and be able to effectively work independently, and with others.
Salary Commensurate with scope of work job experience
