Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked items while ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including breads and other baked goods.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Oversee night staff to ensure orders are prepared properly for house and wholesale customers, and that all duties are completed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Package baked goods attractively for display or catering orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and ensure timely production of items.
- Utilize kitchen tools safely, including knives and other baking equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Control waste of product
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production or as a Baker in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety practices.
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various baking techniques and pastry preparation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
