Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant/Scribe to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the doctor see patients, including initial evaluation, appropriate testing, and assistance with procedures that are commonly performed in the office. Prior ophthalmic knowledge and experience is not necessary- we are happy to train starting from the beginning. A desire to learn, work hard, be a great teammate, and be an essential employee of the practice is all that is truly necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not necessary.
- Strong understanding or desire to learn anatomy and physiology, particularly related to the eye.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- A commitment to providing high-quality support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- We are looking for an individual who is bilingual in English and Russian.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
