The New York Post is seeking a Reporter (Tues-Sat, day shift) who wants a seat at the smorgasbord we call the Sunday New York Post!
We like fun and fearless generalists who can advance continuing national stories and generate new ones; investigators who live to unmask the corrupt; and tough reporters to cover every aspect of a tough city (don't be shy about your specialties).
Responsibilities:
- Quickly writing clear, concise copy on national and local news
- Delivering long and short form journalism in the boldest tabloid voice
- Spotting a potentially viral story and quickly turn it into a great read
- Adhering to the Post’s signature style
Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience covering news on the local or national level
- Experience working in a fast paced news environment
- Strong news gathering skills and experience with social media platforms in order to quickly confirm information during live news events
- Digital production experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Note: NY Post adheres to a hybrid work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 4 days per week (subject to change depending on business needs).
