Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for the management of several programs and report to the Director of the Office of Transportation Management’s Maintenance Program Planning Bureau.Duties will include but are not limited to the following :
- Management of the Office of Transportation Maintenance’s Management systems which include but are not limited to Enterprise Asset Management Program (EAMP) Maintenance Management System (MMS), Facility Manager, and legacy systems SNOMAT and MAMIS.
- Coordinate statewide rollout and develop training programs for EAMP / MMS upgrades for operational staff.
- Work closely with Regional Maintenance Managers, to assess their needs and provide effective service to them by developing systems, policies, guidance, and training programs.
- Directs Regional Operations work planning activities. Recommends methods of analysis and provides technical assistance when necessary.
- Serve as NYSDOT representative on national committees.
- Develop and implement emergency reporting requirements. Work with stakeholders to ensure data reliability and that milestones are met.
- Direct the development and maintenance of data inventory based on user needs, providing supporting documentation when necessary.
- Direct the development of performance metrics for work planning, staff management, and material management.
- Coordinates system upgrades, releases, and process changes with other program areas within NYSDOT and the NYS Office of Information Technology Systems.
- Supervision and development of assigned staffResponsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
