Newhaven Display is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative who is motivated, detail-oriented, and excels in building strong customer relationships. This position is for a self-starter who possesses the ability to follow complex procedures and adapt to varying scenarios. The role requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as each order may present unique challenges. Additionally, candidates must be technologically savvy to quickly learn and efficiently navigate our ERP system. The successful candidate will act as a primary contact for order processing, product inquiries, inventory management, while also supporting our e-commerce operations.
Responsibilities
- Order Management
- Receive, process, and manage customer orders from start to finish, assessing each order's specific requirements and determining necessary actions.
- Confirm shipping details and ensure accurate delivery instructions.
- Issue invoices, track payments, and provide timely follow-ups.
- Coordinate with inventory teams to fulfill order requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to orders and shipments.
- System Management
- Utilize and navigate the ERP system to input and retrieve order information accurately.
- Handle customer communications via email with prompt follow-up.
- Monitor daily release schedules and manage inventory arrivals and approvals.
- Inventory Coordination
- Work closely with relevant departments to expedite inventory and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Support Role
- Collaborate with various departments to assist in resolution of any customer-related concerns.
- Answer incoming phone calls and forward to appropriate departments.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent service to customers and represent the Company in the most professional way possible.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess unique order scenarios while determining appropriate actions.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
- Superior time management/organizational skills ensuring precision and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- MUST have the capability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities at once.
- Exemplary follow-up skills utilizing professional, grammatically correct correspondence via email and phone.
- Technologically savvy. Be able to quickly learn and efficiently use ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Proficient in current versions of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Self-motivated; capable of completing tasks with limited supervision.
- Experience with electronics or display technologies is a plus.
