As a Specialist in Non-Managed Joint Ventures, you will lead detailed production and financial performance analysis, ensuring our internal stakeholders are well-informed of developments, risks, issues, and actions associated with our partners. Your work will be crucial in mitigating impacts to Newmont’s business and driving strategic decision-making.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $110,160 to $144,585 USD. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.

As Part of Our Team You Will
- Analyze Performance: Benchmark the performance of Newmont’s non-managed operating joint ventures against managed operations and industry peers.
- Prepare Communications: Develop and present summary reports to keep Newmont leaders informed on the status and performance of joint ventures.
- Deliver Detailed Reports: Provide support valuations to senior management and partners for strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate Data: Assess performance data, market trends, and changing dynamics to determine the effectiveness of current management strategies.
- Coordinate Meetings: Prepare materials for internal meetings focused on joint ventures and support Newmont leaders in engagement with partners.
- Track Issues: Monitor ongoing issues, risks, and actions with joint ventures.
- Facilitate Training: Orient and train new board committee members and maintain an active roster for joint ventures board committees.
- Maintain Contacts: Consolidate and keep a detailed contact list for partners involved in joint ventures.
- Support Governance: Record all governance activities related to operating joint venture agreements for historical reference.
- Educational Background: Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Management, or Project Management fields.
- Professional Experience: Experience in strategy development, workshop design, project scoping& planning, and governance administration.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to acquire and process complex information and make effective decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Social Process Skills: Self-awareness, team collaboration, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Based in Denver, CO, but it is location flexible within Newmont's North America locations.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Travel: May be required to support customers, projects, workshop facilitation, planning, and team events.
