The Payment Operations Specialist role is a critical role within operations responsible for processing payment transactions securely, accurately, timely, and in accordance with bank procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. A Payment Operations Specialist must be proficient in the payment network rules, bank policies, and risks of the ACH, wire, card, and emerging payment channels. This role requires a strong understanding of financial operations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The Payment Operations Specialist role is a critical role within operations responsible for processing payment transactions securely, accurately, timely, and in accordance with bank procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. A Payment Operations Specialist must be proficient in the payment network rules, bank policies, and risks of the ACH, wire, card, and emerging payment channels. As a Payment Operations Specialist, You Will
- Maintain a strong understanding of bank policies, network rules, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Execute and manage the end-to-end processing of ACH, incoming and outgoing domestic and international wires, and card transactions.
- Verify transaction details, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payment transactions, including exception processing initatives.
- Process and monitor incoming and outgoing ACH files.
- Process ACH NOCs and Returns.
- Process and track ACH WSUDs.
- Monitor reporting on ACH volumes and return ratios.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Finance, Customer Service, and IT, to resolve reconciliation payment-related inquiries and issues.
- Research and clear adjustments received related to all deposit account processing.
- Assist with payments related implementations and projects.
- Assist with implementation and processing for third-party sender payment relationships.
- Process requests related to issuing, replacing, and freezing of debit cards.
- Process and monitor debit card disputes.
- Process and monitor incoming RDC and mRDC depoists.
- Assist with ATM cash management, reconciliation, and disputes.
- Assist with daily bank file processing requirments.
- Participate in required and ongoing payments training and education to stay current with industry regulations and compliance standards.

- 3 years in the banking industry focused on deposit, payment operations, or reconciliations.
- Customer service experience and general banking knowledge of deposit products and services including digital banking is preferred.
- 2 years' experience with processing card, ACH, wire, or teller transactions required.
- Ability to work rotational hours.
- College degree from a two-year or four-year program with a concentration in business or accounting preferred.
- AAP(Accredited ACH Professional) and/or APRP(Accredited Payments Risk Professional) certification strongly preferred.
