What You’ll Do as the Lead Dispatcher
Dynamic Driver and Route Support
Be the Go-To Problem Solver : Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, addressing challenges to ensure smooth route completion.Ensure Service Continuity : Proactively troubleshoot equipment or service issues and reroute drivers or deploy backup assets to maintain uninterrupted operations.Proactively Manage Routes : Monitor routes using telematics and dispatch tools, resolving disruptions before they escalate.Build Relationships : Foster positive connections with drivers by being approachable and responsive to their needs.Strategic Resource Coordination
Optimize Resource Allocation : Verify driver and truck availability with the Operations Administrator to ensure efficient use of resources.Maximize Efficiency : Monitor daily and weekly capacity to align resources with demand and maintain balanced schedules.Seamlessly Handle Same-Day Requests : Collaborate with sales to integrate same-day services without disrupting planned operations.Next-Day Planning and Preparation
Finalize Work Orders : Review and confirm alignment with available resources to ensure accuracy.Prepare for Success : Prepare truck and driver allocations, ensuring the Route Planner has complete and accurate data to build effective next-day plans.Customer Service and Engagement
Resolve Issues Promptly : Work closely with the customer service team to address service concerns quickly and professionally.Deliver Exceptional Customer Support : Handle inquiries or complaints, provide accurate ETAs, and coordinate timely solutions.Schedule Emergency Services : Coordinate emergency pickups or additional services as needed.Safety and Operational Excellence
Champion Safety : Promote safe driving practices and adherence to company safety protocols.Identify Improvement Opportunities : Analyze routing data and driver performance to uncover areas for growth.Enhance Operations : Collaborate with the operations team to implement process improvements that boost efficiency and reduce risks.
