A growing team is looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to support multiple business locations. This role provides HR generalist support, partnering with business leaders to drive HR initiatives, foster employee engagement, and manage the full employee lifecycle. The position also includes recruiting for salaried blue-collar, non-manufacturing roles in direct distribution sites across the West region (California and Washington).
This role is remote but requires the candidate to be located near San Francisco, CA, with monthly travel to South Gate, CA.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Business Partnering- Partner with business leaders to implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Support onboarding processes and help integrate new employees into assigned business units.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs to enhance employee development.
- Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning with leadership teams.
- Guide managers on performance management, including goal setting and feedback.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and formal investigations.
- Support the offboarding process, including transitions and backfill strategies.
- Ensure HR policies and programs are implemented effectively within assigned business units.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for salaried blue-collar, non-manufacturing roles in direct distribution sites.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to develop hiring strategies and build a strong candidate pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with hiring regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain applicant tracking system records for audit readiness.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Experience supporting multiple business locations, including California.
- Experience conducting employee relations investigations.
- Understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees and leadership teams.
- HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
- Some experience with recruiting.
- Proficiency with HRIS and recruiting software.
- Travel Requirement: 10-15% (Monthly travel to South Gate, CA, plus occasional site visits).
- Work Environment: Remote (Must reside near San Francisco, CA).
