We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing essential support to both patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in medical office systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups for various medical services.
- Escorting patients to exam rooms and notifying practitioners. Providing a basic "triage" of the patient to the practitioner i.e. Mr. So-and-so is in the first patient room for (service they are here for).
- Request documentation from other physician's offices and conduct documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Verify insurance benefits.
- Utilize electronic health record systems.
- Assist with medical collections by processing payments and managing billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Provide administrative support by answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient information and medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is required.
- Familiarity with medical scheduling processes and terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
- Strong documentation review skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients and staff.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
