ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Follows standardized procedures, principles and practices of powder coating application.
- Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems – familiarization with GEMA systems a plus.
- Effectively performs all duties of a powder coating sprayer, including but not limited to surface preparation, powder coating application, curing, and inspection for acceptable finished product.
- Ensures that all components are produced and coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established quality and delivery goals.
- Loads and unloads parts in a mainline or custom booth setting.
- Working knowledge of the mechanics and basic repair of powder coating equipment.
- Proper cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment, and 5S readiness of work area.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
- Strong background in Powder Coating a must; > 3 years of experience and/or training preferred.
- Possesses high attention to detail while operating in a fast paced, high producing environment.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently with little daily supervision.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations.
