Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our team and uphold our high standards. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a fine dining restaurant of similar capacity and demonstrate a deep commitment to the hospitality industry. A strong understanding of food, beverage, and guest services is essential, as well as organizational skills and technical proficiency with systems like Tock, Toast, Adobe, and Google Workspace.
Our General Manager will lead by example, fostering a positive and respectful workplace while maintaining operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct the flow of service and ensure guest satisfaction in the dining room.
- Hire, train, supervise, and develop FOH staff.
- Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and discipline staff as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of service standards and guest experiences.
- Lead, motivate, and educate all FOH personnel on policies and procedures.
- Ensure appropriate staffing based on business volume.
- Supervise floor staff to maintain professional service and high guest satisfaction.
- Educate FOH personnel on product knowledge, particularly Italian cuisine and wine.
- Build rapport with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Oversee payroll reporting, end-of-night closeout, and cash handling.
- Maintain clear communication with the bookkeeper for accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and update the POS system with accurate menu items and pricing.
- Collaborate with management to develop staff skills and performance.
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and open communication.
- Bridge communication between FOH and BOH to ensure smooth operations.
- Serve as a community ambassador for Nic & Junior's.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a fine-dining restaurant of similar capacity.
- Strong passion for fine dining with solid food and beverage knowledge (wine preferred)
- Hospitable demeanor with impeccable service standards and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills with a lead-by-example approach.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while maintaining composure.
- Professional and polished appearance with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen with P&L understanding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible work schedule availability.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Google Workspace

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
