Job Description
Nicholson Corporation is currently seeking an energetic and results driven Payroll Specialist. This position will collaborate with the Field Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers and will report to the company’s Payroll Manager.
(IN HOUSE UNION PAYROLL EXPERIENCE A MUST)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Enter Union and Corporate employees into payroll software and E-Verify programs
· Enter and verify weekly payroll for Union and Corporate employees
· Payroll processing for both Union and Corporate employees, including layoffs and missed time
· Responsible for the maintenance of all Union documentation such as Union agreements, rate and fringe increases, and remittance reports
· Assist with set up of all new union additions, ensure labor rates and benefits are updated timely and accurately
· Process all unemployment & disability claims
· Complete employment verifications, child support and garnishment requests
· PTO tracking for all companies
· Prepare weekly Union Dues/Fringe Benefit payments and reports
· Responsible for ACA monthly updates and annual reporting and compliance
· Preparation and submittal of weekly and monthly certified payroll reports
· Assist PR Manager with implementation of new payroll system and mobile time application
· File Maintenance and other associated clerical duties
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience with in-house Union payroll processing
· Associate’s degree or PPD Certification a must
· Experience handling 300 employee payroll
· Construction background is necessary
· Prevailing wage and certified payroll expertise
· Experience with LCP Tracker and EMARS
· Foundation Software/ Sage 300 Software a plus
· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
· High degree of confidentiality
· Excellent customer service
· Advanced administrative and organizational skills
· Computer proficiency and attention to detail
· Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations including prevailing wage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
