Job Summary
Established Commercial & Industrial Contractor is seeking a full time, strong Purchasing Administrator to support the Director of Purchasing. If you have strong administrative skills, are a quick learner and have strong attention to detail, this could be the role for you! Customer services skills are critical as you will be answering questions and gathering information from vendors and internal customers alike.
This position reports directly to the Director of Purchasing.
Primary responsibilities of this role will include, but is not limited to, these essential functions:
- Collect and coordinate order requests from field personnel.
- Draft and submit purchase requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain efficient purchasing process and manage requests in a timely fashion
- Assist with the processing of change orders.
- Research vendors and negotiate the best price.
- Coordinate delivery schedule with field personnel.
- Manage and maintain spreadsheet tracking of equipment rentals
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in the Construction Industry
- HS Diploma a must, 2 or 4 year Degree preferred
- Strong work ethic, detail oriented, organized, professional and reliable.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Sage 300 experience a plus
- Strong Excel, Word, email and other relevant computer skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
