Specific Expectations:
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain excellence as the first point of contact for each guest and maintain extraordinary customer service. Guest Service Agent’s are responsible for greeting and registering the guest, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay. GSA’s play an integral role in the ongoing relationships being built with every guest that visits the property. First impressions are a lasting impression! Your friendly and outgoing nature, as well as your flair for detail and outside-the-box thinking, will guarantee every guest you personally interact with will remember their experience and want to return. GSA’s must possess a positive personality as we strive to build the best team for this hotel. GSA’s must have the ability to multi-task, be detailed oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers. Lastly, your smile and attitude are infectious, so it is expected that when you walk through the door you are able to maintain a high degree of professionalism for each guest and the entire team
Job Duties:
- Provide each guest with outstanding customer service during the entire duration of their stay
- Maintain inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
- Possess a working knowledge of reservations, same day reservations, and future reservations
- Perform check ins and check outs as required and verify all information for accuracy
- Understand the cancellation policy and procedures
- Identify room locations, room type availability, and fluctuating room rates
- Ability to register new guest and assign rooms
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department
- Organize housekeeping and housekeeping manager paperwork before their arrival
- Utilize persuasive sales technique to sell rooms while promoting hotel services and amenities
- Working knowledge of daily activities and events taking place in the hotel and surrounding area
- Informs management immediately of any unusual occurrences or request
- Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Process guest check-outs and ability to handle monetary transactions
- Maintain all guest privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism through appearance and attire
- Assist with laundry as needed i.e. folding, washing and drying of hotel materials
- Monitor surveillance equipment regularly and ensure it is in good working order
- Provide area directions and information to guest
- Inform relief personnel of any specific requests, reservations or pending tasks
- Execute all closing procedures including counting and balancing draw, dropping of additional funds, and closing shift paperwork
- Check member web and inform management of any complaints immediately
- Program wake up calls
- Keep track of lost and found items
- Maintain strict master key control
- Monitor pool, fitness area, and all guest areas for working order / requirements

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
