The Niles Park District is seeking a motivated and responsible individual to serve as the Manager of Pioneer Park. This seasonal role will oversee the daily operations of the Pioneer Park concessions and batting cages, ensuring a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. This will be a 30 hour/week position in Spring/Fall, and 40/week in Summer. Hourly Range: $18-22/hour, no benefits.

This seasonal role will oversee the daily operations of the Pioneer Park concessions and batting cages, ensuring a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. - Oversee the scheduling, training, and performance of part-time attendants.
- Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to ensure team success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for attendant staff during shifts.
- Concession Operations:
- Ensure high standards of food preparation, safety, and cleanliness.
- Monitor and maintain food inventory, restocking supplies as needed.
- Oversee the proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of the concession building, surrounding grounds, and batting cages.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Maintain a customer-friendly environment, addressing patron inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Monitor attendants’ interactions with patrons to ensure excellent service standards.
- Oversee batting cage operations to ensure proper functioning and safe usage.
- Implement and enforce park district policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
- Assist in creating schedules to ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
- Communicate effectively with park district management regarding operational needs and updates.
- Be at least 21 years old
- Previous experience in food service, customer service, or facility management preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work April - October
