Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our facility. This role is critical in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operational flow at the front desk. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documentation.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and schedules using hospital systems.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and services.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Provide information about medical services, including procedure , testing and Orders.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office operations is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management is required.
- A background in hospital medicine or experience within a doctor / pulmonary office is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
