Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Private Events for our three restaurants (Nina May, Opal and Elena James - coming spring 2024). As the Director of Private Events, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of private events and catering ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive private event bookings and revenue growth across all three restaurants.
- Collaborate with the restaurant managers to create unique and tailored event packages that meet the needs and preferences of our clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
- Manage the event planning process from start to finish, including event inquiries, site visits, contract negotiations, and event logistics.
- Work closely with the culinary and beverage teams to create customized menus and beverage offerings for each event.
- Oversee the event staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze event performance metrics, providing regular reports to the management team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proven track record of successfully executing private events of various sizes and complexities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop unique event concepts and experiences.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as experience in menu planning and customization.
