Nino Development is seeking a skilled and motivated Utility Foreman (Commercial/Residential Sitework) to join our team in Asheville, NC. This role is focused on overseeing and managing utility installations for both commercial and residential sitework projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams effectively to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a crew in the installation and maintenance of underground utilities for commercial and residential sitework projects.
- Oversee the daily operations of utility installation, including water, sewer, storm drains, and other utilities.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to safety standards, project specifications, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure proper scheduling and completion of tasks.
- Provide leadership and training to crew members, ensuring high performance and a safe work environment.
- Monitor job site conditions, materials, and equipment to maintain project efficiency and quality.
- Inspect work sites and utilities for compliance with blueprints, plans, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, daily logs, and any issues that arise during construction.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility construction, with a strong background in both commercial and residential sitework.
- Previous experience in a leadership role as a foreman or supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems and installation processes, including water, sewer, and storm drain work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality control standards.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and manage physically demanding tasks.
