Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using knives and other kitchen tools.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and service.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support cooks and chefs in various culinary tasks as needed, contributing to meal preparation and presentation.
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
- Participate in catering events as required, helping to set up, serve, and clean up after events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is an advantage.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is essential; certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
