Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental office management practices.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Open Dental software.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist with coding and filing of patient information and care plans.
- Provide dental administrative support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any patient concerns or needs.
- Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
- Support billing processes as needed, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Perform other duties, such as helping with sterilization or cleaning the office, as assigned to maintain an efficient work environment.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred, but not required. We are more than happy to provide training for the right candidate.
