Responsibilities: The purpose of the Automotive Service Advisor is to ensure an extraordinary customer experience while creating client advocates. The Service Advisor acts as the go-to between service technicians and customers. In this position, you’ll be able to get out from behind the desk and play an active role in the service lane. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner
- Inspecting vehicles and accurately identifying and verifying customers’ needs
- Building strong relationships with customers
- Perform vehicle walk around and documentation of customer concerns to enable the Technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
- Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts and accessories by thoroughly understanding the product and associated service requirements.
- Provide accurate cost and time of completion estimates for the services recommended, communicate and get proper authorization from customers.
- Compiles with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards.
- Remain involved with delivery of vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns are addressed.
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquires, whether by phone or in person, to assure the customer has a positive service experience.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two or more years of previous experience as a service advisor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great attitude with high-energy personality
- Must have a valid in state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
- Must submit to and successfully pass a background and drug screen
- Must be a team player with integrity and strong work ethics
- Ability to work well in a process driven environment
