What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prior Process Technician 2 position at Nisshinbo Automotive Manufacturing Inc?
This position is responsible for utilizing, practicing and training others on basic manufacturing fundamentals, associated with 5S in the Prior areas.
Daily Responsibilities include - but not limited to:
- Light repair and cleaning of the Preforming Machine area (DP & DF)
- Inspection of all mechanical areas – make up Maintenance requests for any repairs outside the scope of light repairs.
- Maintain an analytical summary of reject issues
- Maintain a daily summary of Preforming Recycle material – report unusual results.
- Machine setup
- Perform PM's on DF presses.
- Perform PM's in mixing per the PM check sheet. · Perform Plate Treatment PM as needed.
- Keep Supervisor and Manager updated with all current and potential problems.
- Utilize the Kanban system to prepare for future setups
- Work closely with Mold Technicians –communicate issues as they arise
- Improves Manufacturing Functions by maintaining a clean environment in the Curing and Preforming Machine areas
- Troubleshooting all machine functions in Curing, Preform, and PlatingMachines
- Assisting Supervisor or Team Leader with continuous Quality improvement activities
- Supporting the MFG Team to exceed the daily production targets
- Wearing proper PPE Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards
- Maintaining the work area using the principles of 5S
- Using the basic principle of SPC techniques following all proper Lockout Tagout Procedures
- Suggesting for improvements in documentation regarding procedures and systems
- Performing tests, trials, as necessary to improve machine process; by creating standard operating procedures (SOP) and troubleshooting guides
- Supporting machine setups and mold technicians activity.
- Learn and be able to assist in Hourly PMs at Plate Treatment
- Maintains Documentation by submitting written continuous improvement suggestions and by completing all necessary documentation in a clear and timely manner
- Maintaining records of daily rejected products; by using graphs, charts and other related tools to analyze the current status of waste related to the DP & DF Curing areas
- Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time.
- Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.
- Performs Other Duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or other Management Team Member
- Upholds Standards of Safety, Quality, and Cost by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining safety, quality, and cost; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company
- Immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of safety, quality, and cost to the Supervisor or Management and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary.

- Covering for other MFG Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested

- Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
