Position description:
We are seeking helpdesk technicians to join our IT Team. A helpdesk technician is a member of the infrastructure team responsible for maintaining workstations, phones, servers, networks, and applications in a corporate environment. Our helpdesk technician works directly with end users, the development team and remote teams to provide our organization with the assistance they need to keep shipments moving throughout the country.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, including national on-site assistance
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity tests
- Build, configure, and deploy laptops and workstations as needed
- Thoroughly document support activities, including issue resolution and client interactions in a helpdesk environment
- Frequent Domestic Travel, 50% of the time
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and proficiency with Windows Active Directory, Google GSuite.
- Basic knowledge of networking and installing switches routers wireless aps
- 2-3 years of experience handling field and helpdesk IT support requests
- Experience with common helpdesk tools and ticketing systems a plus
- Ability to communicate with outside vendors for project and onsite cable installation.
- Driver’s license and access to transportation.
- IT certifications or formal IT education will be considered but is not required
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 40lbs. Ability to kneel, crawl and climb in order to install computers and associated accessories.
