What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable/Accounting Clerk position at Nissin Precision North America?
Nissin Precision North America, Inc. is “Confidence in Precision Stamping”. Formerly known as Englewood Precision Inc. (EPI), Nissin Precision North America is a metal stamping and welded assembly facility located in Englewood, Ohio.
Accounts Payables/Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support. Maintains accounting document files related to payables, receivables, cash management along with the following duties:
Accounts Payable
- Match receiving paperwork with supplier invoices. Investigate discrepancies. Correct errors as needed.
- Prepare supplier invoices for AP entry
- Enter invoices in the AP computer system, prepare for payment, process and mail supplier checks. Handle vendor correspondence as needed.
- Maintain filing of paperwork. Update various computer records as needed.
Cash Management/General Accounting
- Responsible for verification of all transactions reported for cash accounting record. Preparation and confirmation of all journal entries made for cash activity.
- Perform bank wire transfers as needed.
- Prepare bank account reconciliations.
- AR/AP monthly and weekly cash report preparation
- Assist Accounting Manager with the preparation of month-end financial reports as needed.
- Prepare and post journal entries specific to the month-end reporting process.
- Prepare various spreadsheets and account reconciliation detail.
- Reporting for 1042, 1099 and unclaimed funds
- 401k support as needed
- Must have fundamental 10-key calculator capability and strong basic math skills
- Must have Microsoft software knowledge (excel, word, etc.) and fundamental computer proficiency. Good typing skills.
- Should be well organized. Attention to detail and accuracy are very important
- Must have good telephone skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three years experience in accounting. Previous experience in a general accounting environment is preferred. Microsoft software (excel, word, etc.) knowledge and experience is required. Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures is required.
