WEEKEND CRISIS LINE ADVOCATE
PT Sat/Sun 3 pm - 11 pm; other shifts may be available to cover co-workers time off.

General Description: The Weekend Crisis Line Advocate provides hotline and shelter coverage, conducts intakes with resident and non-resident clients, provides crisis intervention, support, information and referral services.
Classification: Non-exempt
Essential Job Functions:
A. Receive crisis calls and provide immediate crisis intervention for all victims of domestic violence, dating violence and sexual assault.
B. Perform Lethality Assessment Protocols in coordination with law enforcement for safety planning.
C. Complete intake and exit interviews and complete all required documentation on residents and non-residents clients.
D. Assist residents in settling into shelter, room and providing a tour.
E. Assist clients’ immediate needs and refer them to appropriate resource, or utilize
Noah resources.
F. Control access to the facility by residents, non-residents and visitors, oversee the security system and follow all security procedures.
G. Complete documentation, data/statistical entry and any other required paperwork on a timely basis to include maintaining client and administrative files.
H. Ensure residents are following shelter guidelines and responsibilities. Chores, quiet hours, etc.
I. Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
J. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary, including but not limited to; clerical duties, assisting with shelter program activities, conferences, fundraisers and training.
Screenable Job Requirements:
A. Experience working with people in crisis and some higher education preferred.
B. Willingness to perform tasks outside the job description.
C. Has knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures or is willing to be trained on those skills.
D. Possesses knowledge and proficiency in general office procedures.
E. Is willing to work in stressful conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
F. Knowledge of dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
G. Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with all clients.
H. Works well with minimal supervision.
Supervision: The Weekend Crisis Line Advocate will be supervised by the Shelter Coordinator.
