Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team that completes preventative maintenance, tests rides, adjusts controls, diagnoses issues, and repairs system malfunctions. The scope of the maintenance team is everything found within the park, dorm, and motel, from buildings to restrooms to landscape to rides.

Supervisory Duties:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Maintenance team and any other assigned departments
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Noah’s Ark core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all maintenance positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Wisconsin law
- Ensure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each day
- Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties:
- Monitor and prevent ride, device, or equipment problems by completing preventive maintenance such as tune ups, lubrication and oil changes, system checks, fluid level checks, and replacement of filters and parts
- Perform general facility-wide maintenance and related work on roofing, exterior and interior buildings and structures, restrooms, food building and pump rooms at park, dorm, and motel as needed
- Provide general maintenance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
- Perform daily inspection and testing of amusement park rides, water rides, and all other attractions, signing off on its safety & completion
- Monitor and assist the maintenance team with repairing equipment problems by repairing engine or component failures, mechanical and electrical malfunctions, replacing parts and components, using hand and power tools, welding torches, jacks, hoists, etc.
- Perform ride testing, adjust controls and systems to ensure ride serviceability
- Assist the maintenance team in building maintenance, etc. during both the park operating and rebuild seasons
- Assist with landscaping duties including mowing, line trimming, grounds cleanup, pruning and planting, as needed
- Ensure that all team members are adhering to safety policies and procedures
- Properly document work performed along with time and materials used per park policies and procedures
- Report any maintenance, mechanical or structural issues to Maintenance and Park leadership in a timely and complete manner
- This position will act on behalf of the Maintenance Director in their absence to ensure efficient and timely completion of daily tasks
- All other duties as assigned by Maintenance or Park leadership
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
- Trade school training or other technical certification is a plus
- 3-5 years relevant maintenance experience or amusement park maintenance experience preferred
- 1 year of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a maintenance capacity
- Previous work experience performing maintenance on roller coasters, amusement rides, or other attractions desired but not required
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner, including landscaping equipment
- General working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and carpentry preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with flat ride and roller coaster mechanics a plus
- Familiarity with state and local codes as they relate to aquatic park attractions a plus
- Must provide own tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, punches, wrenches, standard socket set up to 1 inch, and metric socket set up to 24mm.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat for long periods of time
- Ability to remain sedentary on occasion, while using a computer
- Ability to remain on feet for majority of the workday
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 75 pounds or more
- Ability to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manlifts
- Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools
- Ability to see differences between colors and brightness
- Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
- Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, vibrations, motorized equipment, and exposure to various chemicals and greases
- Subject to bloodborne pathogens; Proper PPE is required in these situations.
- Subject to working at significant heights greater than 50 feet
