The role:
As the HR Manager you lead the HR programs in the hotel with a focus on supporting the needs of the business and the team. Developing employment engagement initiatives, having a pulse on the needs of leaders and finding ways to create clear and streamlined processes. Being a true partner to the business to improve retention and ensure compliance. You are comfortable in ambiguity, neutral and objective, can be agile in your approach and have a strong attention to detail. You like to get things done! This position is onsite.

A Day in the Life
- Be an Edgewater values and culture champion for the property.
- Identify and recommend People & Culture approaches to management team. As well as implementing all Noble House people initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources
- Assist managers with their hiring efforts, conducting and managing the administrative tasks and ensuring proper team member boarding. Ensure personnel records are accurate and complete.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and other welcome activities for new hires.
- Administer and maintain accurate records of necessary federal, state and local reports as required by the applicable laws, S.O.P.s and Inc. policies
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, specifically administration of ACA, FMLA, WAPFML, OSHA, L and I, Wage and Hour, EEO, HazCom, etc.
- Manage all time away and unemployment compensation activities
- Lead safety programming in compliance with Noble House, State and Federal laws. Managing workers’ compensation claims and return to work programs along with leading the hotel safety committee, creating training, monitoring compliance, and influencing a culture of safety for our teams.
- Monitor compliance with established personnel policies and procedures.
- Investigate and facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues in a timely, objective and professional manner with oversight of the Director of Human Resources.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Collaborate with HR Director to ensure tools/training/programs are being utilized. Ensure new and current tools/programs/training are delivered, and action plans are communicated and implemented.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years progressive experience in an HR Generalist role
- Independent judgment and discretion are important qualities as many duties performed are of a critical & confidential nature. Ability to remain neutral and represent the company, the leader, and the employee to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
- Management experience outside of HR
- Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships to create trust and drive culture initiatives.
- Ability to create project plans, identifying timelines, securing resources, and communicating at all levels of the hotel throughout implementation. Meeting due dates and being innovative in your approach
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce high quality work, be flexible, prioritize business demands, anticipate needs, be proactive, in adapting and responding to changing situations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills.
- Applied knowledge of general employment laws, employee relations, investigations, and policy development
- Works well in both team oriented and autonomous environments
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual a plus!
- Union management experience a plus!
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
