We are hiring a full time Accounting Associate to support the development of 1-20MW solar and storage solutions across US distribution grids.

Our Accounting Associate will report to the VP of Finance and play an integral role in supporting our internal teams in developing projects by providing accurate, detailed and timely data while also meeting the needs of external customers with reporting requirements

Essential job functions include:
- Vendor Payment Processing: Ensuring all company bills are paid timely including printing of checks
- Customer Billing: Responsible for appropriate invoicing in alignment with contractual terms
- General Ledger Administration: Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts at month end
- Data Entry Management: Load datasets for all financial reporting, quarterly reporting requirements, verification within master data records (inclusive of 1099 data validation and other tax reporting)
- Month End Close: Administrative responsibilities and key facilitation of timely billing/expense to provide efficient and timely financial close process, inclusive of Severson HoldCo
- Quarterly Financial Statements: proactive preparation for initial review with VP of Finance
- QuickBooks: Optimize system and processes for efficiencies and ease of use
- Asset Management: Create and maintain financial reporting structure including revenue and expenses by project
- Audit Preparation: Process documentation, creation of internal control policies and all associated preparation to navigate a successful audit
- Preparation and analysis of any and all ad-hoc financial reporting as requested
- Assist with reporting needs for all project finance requirements
- Adhere to established policies and procedures while actively identifying and proposing improvements to streamline processes
- Maintain thorough knowledge of department and company policies, procedures and software applications; stay up to date with business operations
- Support operational efficiency by ensuring the team has the necessary tools and resources
- Coordinate administrative duties for the Finance & Administration team in regards to calendar management, agenda coordination, meeting minutes and follow up and general communications
- Provide support beyond the Finance & Administrative team to the leadership team to support cross-functional collaboration as requested
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment, meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
- Strong attention to detail with ability to use judgment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaboration
- Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts required
- Knowledge of GAAP required, CPA coursework preferred
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong self-starter and ability to work independently
Compensation & Benefits
- Total Annual Compensation (Salary Bonus) of $75,000 - $95,000 based on experience
