NOR-CAL Moving services has an immediate opening for an experienced accountant in our Hayward office to perform the following duties

DUTIES

• Scan checks and update the check lists on a daily basis
• Process credit cards and ensure that the payments are applied to the correct invoices
• Receive, record and report banks, cash, checks and voucher transactions
• Record cash account transactions onto spreadsheets (CRs, AP, Payroll funding)
• Post transactions involving cash receipts, disbursements, accounts payable and receivables to journal accounts
• Responsible for making ACH payments
• Prepare general ledger and supporting accounts within the accounting software
• Record and maintain inter-company transactions and recurring journal entries
• Generate reports including wire transfers, deposits, cash receipts transactions, deposits
• Weekly COD report
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Intermediate MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Educational Requirements

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
