Summary:
The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and record-keeping. This position serves as a liaison between employees and the HR department, supporting key initiatives and maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:
· Post job openings on career sites and job boards.
· Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates and hiring managers.
· Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and update recruitment metrics.
Onboarding and Orientation:
· Facilitate the onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation schedules.
· Conduct initial orientation sessions for new employees.
HR Administration:
· Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
· Assist in preparing HR reports, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction metrics.
Special Projects:
· Assist with HR projects, such as policy updates, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
· Provide support for company events and recognition programs.
Training and Development:
· Coordinate scheduling for training sessions and maintain training records.
· Assist in developing training materials and resources.
· Compliance and Policy Adherence:
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Help manage the documentation of company policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements:
Experience
· 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a construction, utility, or similar industry.
· Strong knowledge of California labor laws and regulations.
Union and Labor Relations
· Experience with unions and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) preferred.
