Job Description The Credit Analytics and Strategy Team is responsible for analyzing and driving strategies that help both fuel growth of the portfolio as well as protect the business from losses. Develop and analyze data that is used to interpret credit card acquisition, portfolio, and card marketing campaign performance Translate analytical findings into actionable strategic recommendations Independently lead projects based off your own analytical findings Set forecasts and expectations for strategy performance and track actual performance to these expectations Monitor the performance of existing acquisition, portfolio, and card marketing strategies and campaigns and present findings in a concise and effective manner via related reports and presentations Monitor emerging trends across new and established account vintages Identify and provide recommendations regarding new opportunities within the credit card portfolio to drive low risk growth Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including TD Bank, Card Marketing, Implementation Teams, Operations, Product, and Finance, to increase share of Nordstrom sales, deliver a world-class customer experience, and meet business objectives Mentor junior level analysts Complete additional Ad hoc requests as necessary You own this if you have… Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Advanced degree preferred. 4 years’ experience in gathering, reporting on, and analyzing financial data, preferably in the consumer credit card industry 2 years of experience with descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, including experimental design concepts and their application 2 years of experience in extracting large data sets from various relational databases using SQL (Oracle, Teradata preferred) Demonstrated or prior experience in a Team Lead role, working with lower-level analysts to their success, preferred Demonstrated ability to perform multifunctionally within Risk or Card Marketing Analytics in the consumer credit card industry Demonstrated ability to design impactful strategies aimed at optimizing financial metrics Advanced experience using SAS/SQL programming languages including the ability to navigate, interpret, and join data from multiple databases as well as create macros and custom functions to automate/streamline tasks Proficient in MS Office, with advanced MS Excel skills Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Industry strongly preferred Ability to take ambiguous data questions, translate them into a clear analytical plan, and produce concise summary output that includes recommendations based upon core findings Proven ability to proficiently communicate complicated data and analytical issues verbally, in writing, or in presentation form to core stakeholders and partners across the enterprise Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team This job description is intended to describe the general nature of the work employees can expect within this particular job classification.
