Clinical Skills and Knowledge:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of clinical skills and knowledge. As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist at Norman Regional Health System, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, assessing patient conditions, and establishing a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and prepared for procedures, adhering to hospital protocols and manufacturer instructions.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, diagnostic test results, and current health status.
- Clinical Communication: Effectively communicate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality patient care.
Required Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
