Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a pivotal role in our cardiovascular program, preparing and assisting during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires completion of relevant training and certification, including Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
* Prepares equipment before and during procedures
* Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care
* Establishes and maintains a sterile environment, adhering to strict standards of quality and safety
* Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
* Utilizes downtime effectively, stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks
* Maintains strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership, facilitating excellent patient care
Qualifications
* Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS registration
* Previous procedural area experience preferred
* Certification from relevant professional bodies, including American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
