Our Cardiovascular Program
We are seeking a skilled and caring Registered Technologist to join our innovative cardiovascular program. This professional will play a crucial role in patient care during procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize equipment preparation before and during procedures
- Evaluate patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in orientation of new staff
- Utilize downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
- Foster strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months
- Finish all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months
Education and Experience
A candidate must have completed a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, be eligible, and/or currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or RCIS certified. Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
The ideal candidate must hold ARRT registration and/or RCIS certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care, with current BLS certification needed throughout employment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
