Cath Lab CV Imaging Specialist Role Overview:
Norman Regional Health System is a leader in healthcare innovation. We require knowledgeable Registered Technologists to support our cardiovascular program expansion. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including a Critical Care Tower and multiple treatment rooms, enable us to deliver exceptional patient care.
**Our Team:**
We collaborate with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide comprehensive care. Our team is committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
**Responsibilities:**
• Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
• Identify and assess patient conditions, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
• Maintain a sterile environment.
• Participate in professional practice and training.
• Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
• Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
• Foster strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
**Qualifications:**
Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
**Education and Experience:**
Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program or military program with eligibility for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
**Certifications and Training:**
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registered and/or certified RCIS with cardiovascular or invasive certification. Basic Life Support training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
