As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Norman Endocrinology Associates, you play a vital role in patient care by administering medications, assisting with procedures, and documenting nursing activities while adhering to the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications with precision and accuracy.
- Contribute to patient care planning and implement plans of care for selected patients.
- Maintain exam rooms and work environments to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Document nursing care and activities accurately.
- Assist with patient care during procedures and monitor patients accordingly.
- Support training of new staff members.
Requirements:
- Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room, or hospital setting providing patient care.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
