Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. This role involves preparing equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting in procedures while providing top-notch patient care.
About the Role
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to ensure high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include preparing equipment, identifying and assessing patient condition, establishing and maintaining a sterile environment, serving as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, using downtime effectively, and maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership.
• Prepares equipment before and during procedures
• Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
• Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff
• Uses downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
• Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or accredited Cardiovascular Program
• One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
• Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
