ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

The Assistant Superintendent will partner with the Superintendent of Schools to provide leadership that fosters excellence across all aspects of the North Attleborough Public Schools. This includes overseeing district operations, enhancing teaching and learning, managing personnel, guiding the High School building project, ensuring student safety, supporting professional development, and implementing the district’s Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide leadership in curriculum and instruction, ensuring alignment with state standards and best practices.
•Play a key role in the High school building project, collaborating with the superintendent on all aspects of the process.
•Oversee professional development programs to support teacher growth and instructional excellence.
•Serve as district Title IX Coordinator.
•Maintain a cycle of review of the curriculum areas by coordinating strategic and long-range planning for the renewal and
improvement of teaching.
•Assist with supervision and evaluation of principals and district-level administrators.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal educational policies and regulations.
•Support the development and management of the district’s budget and resource allocation.
•Provide coordination between building-level and district-wide efforts.
•Represent the district as a liaison with a variety of community groups, including selected civic, professional, and volunteer
community groups and agencies.
•Serve as the chief administrator of the District in the absence of the Superintendent.
Qualifications:
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
•Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
•Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) licensure as a Superintendent/Assistant
Superintendent.
•Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience in education.
•Strong background in curriculum design, instructional leadership, and data-driven decision-making.
