Full Job description:
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn new tasks in a ever changing environment.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients for their appointments.
- Register new patients.
- Answer phones and relay messages to the appropriate team members
- Schedule appointments in person and on the phone
- Process patient paperwork (IDs, Insurance cards, etc.)
- Receive and log in received specimens.
- Seat patients in the main lab as needed.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order when needed.
- Assist Supervisor with Work queues.
- Pull patient orders.
- Organize and pre-chart the next day’s patient load.
- Process results to be mailed to physicians.
- Check for failed faxed results and resend as needed.
- Support the Phlebotomy supervisors with tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Prior receptionist experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible, able to prioritize and multitask in an ever-changing environment.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Computer and telephone skills are a must.
- Consistent and punctual attendance
