Vice President / Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner (Chicago - Hybrid)

An elite, fast-paced firm headquartered in the heart of the Loop is seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner at the VP or AVP level to join their high-performing team. This position designed to support a Chicago-based team while collaborating with remote colleagues.
๐ What Youโll Do:
- Serve as a strategic advisor and partner to senior leaders and department heads
- Drive the full performance management lifecycle, from feedback to documentation, helping leaders manage and elevate talent
- Provide hands-on support with employee relations matters, coaching managers, and ensuring high standards in employee experience
- Partner closely with a Director-level peer to support firmwide initiatives, particularly during high-volume review cycles
- Collaborate on broader human capital projects including engagement, feedback cycles, and talent tracking
- Contribute to a gold-standard hybrid workplace culture with professionalism, urgency, and discretion
๐ What You Bring:
- 12-14 years of professional experience with 5-7 years minimum as an HRBP
- Deep expertise in performance management and employee relations
- Strong generalist foundation and understanding of fast-paced, high-performance environments
- Ability to thrive under pressure, juggle competing priorities, and bring structure to ambiguity
- Tech-savvy, with comfort learning new systems (experience with Workday or similar HRIS is a plus)
- Financial services or professional services industry experience is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; strong academic background preferred

- Base salary: $170Kโ$200K
- Bonus potential: $40Kโ$60K
