Zurich North America is seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to provide support, guidance, and leadership to management across all Human Resource functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This HRBP will support our Assurance Global teams, including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Zurich Alternative Asset Management, and Investment Management.
In this dynamic role, you will leverage your human resources expertise, business insights, and analytical skills to collaborate with centers of excellence and business leaders. You will plan, develop, enhance, implement, and evaluate human resource activities and solutions. Additionally, you will execute strategies to achieve business goals by delivering organizational design, strategic talent recommendations, and HR Data Analytics.
This position is based in the Schaumburg Office and reports to the Head of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition.
The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for:
- Advising and supporting executive leadership in HR best practices and processes to drive business results and ensure organizational alignment.
- Developing, executing, and delivering a robust talent strategy for the supported units.
- Consulting with BU/Function leadership on employee issues, including talent issues, selection, employee development, retention, compensation philosophy, restructuring, and organizational development needs.
- Preparing and analyzing data to provide recommendations on workforce composition, organizational design, etc.
- Providing HR consultation and recommendations regarding the annual performance development cycle, salary reviews, talent management, and employee development.
- Coordinating regional initiatives across respective functions, working closely with the Center of Expertise.
- Supporting HR workstreams of complex projects such as business transformation, restructuring, or new business ventures.
- Participating in HR projects with the support of Human Resources Business Partners.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience within Human Resources
OR -
Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience within Human Resources
OR -
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience within Human Resources
AND - Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR metrics
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with compensation practices, organizational diagnosis and design, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
- Business Facing HR consulting and problem diagnosis experience, including organization change management, human capital planning, and employee relations
- Insurance industry experience
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR strategies
- Business acumen that includes general operational processes, financial management, and business planning knowledge
- Advanced HR data analysis skills, including people analytics and dashboards
- Strong ability to partner and build credibility at all levels
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- PHR or SPHR Certification
- MBA or Master's in HR

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled.The proposed salary range for this position is $113,100–$185,100 with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
