Essential Job Duties | About the department The department's role within the Office of the Provost is to advance the integration and support of learning technologies in NC State's academic programs and courses, both on campus and at a distance. The department coordinates the funding and production of all distance-based credit programs and courses for the university, and provides enterprise academic technology and instructional support services for all modes of course delivery. Working with NC State instructors and partners, the department leads the way in designing, creating, implementing and supporting extraordinary digital learning experiences for our community of learners. The department applies expertise in technologies and pedagogies to create and nurture innovative, effective and impactful digital learning experiences for our community of instructors and learners with a collaborative, service-oriented and innovative mindset. The email program coordinator is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team responsible for executing end-to-end email marketing activities. This role plays a critical part in driving enrollment in courses, expanding partnerships, and educating the campus community about the support and services offered by the department and another department
Key Responsibilities: Email Campaign Development and Management Write email content using modern best practice Manage the email content calendar, ensuring timely and impactful campaigns aligned with marketing and business objectives. Develop, design, and implement targeted email campaigns across various channels (e.g., welcome emails, promotional campaigns, event invitations, newsletters). Ensure all email content is clear, concise, error-free, and adheres to brand guidelines and best practices. Optimize email templates and content for engagement, including subject lines, calls to action, and visual appeal. Database Management: Manage the subscriber database, including segmentation, list hygiene, and data entry, and maintain opt-in practices and comply with data protection regulations. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Reporting and Analysis: Track and analyze email campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.). Prepare regular reports and dashboards to monitor campaign effectiveness and provide insights to the team. Utilize data and analytics to optimize future email campaigns and improve overall program performance. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., program development) to gather campaign requirements and ensure alignment with overall marketing goals. Assist with implementation of new initiatives, testing cadence and special email projects. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging email marketing technologies.
