NORTH CENTRAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEMS
POSITION: Daytime Crisis Intervention Specialist
LOCATION: Canton
HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00 am ‐ 4:30 pm. Rotating on-call required
CLASSIFCATION: 7
POSITION Overview:
Completes assessments of clients in crisis within ED of local hospitals to determine appropriate
level of care
Completes de‐escalation of clients with acute symptoms
Screens and evaluates clients for higher level of care
Completes clinical assessments and treatment plans for clients deflected from ED
Completes referrals for follow up from ED or to inpatient psych facilities
Works after hours on a rotating evening and weekend schedule
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Family Therapy or Human Service
Field or LPN/RN
Bachelor’s Degree in like field with 2 years’ work experience in a Behavioral Health setting
High School Diploma and 5 years working experience in clinical role in a behavioral health setting
